Sea Walls: Boston Mural

August 04, 2021

The crew and I just returned from Boston where we painted a 60 foot high mural on the New England Aquarium as part of Pangea Seed’s Sea Walls in Boston. I used to spend a ton of time in Boston when I lived in Providence, so it was great to be back. My mural is one of 14 painted as part of the project in Boston to raise awareness about the importance of ocean health as a major factor in the health of our planet overall. The whale in my mural is the endangered New England right whale which is native to the waters off Boston.

The crew from the project including Pangea Seed’s Tré Packard and Akira Biondo were all incredible to work with. The other artists involved in the Sea Walls project were all very cool and amazingly talented. I’m honored to be included in the group.

We were lucky to have great weather and an ideal surface in addition to the iconic location, so we completed the mural in two and a half days. Boston Mayor Janey stopped by and painted a little negative space at the bottom. In addition to Mayor Janey I had excellent help from my crew of Nic Bowers, Luka Densmore, and Jon Furlong (who also took the pics). This mural was made possible by the generous support of Linda Cabot and Ed Anderson.
