For Giving Tuesday, I teamed up with Echo New York to create a limited-edition silk scarf to celebrate the company’s 100 year anniversary. $100 from each sale of this scarf will be donated to the American Library Association.
The art I created for this scarf is a commentary on the disinformation problem in our society and the threat of climate change for all of us; I aim to address the causes I care about with my art. The square layout of the scarf works perfectly with my newer modular approach, allowing me to experiment with portraiture, typography, patterns, and symbols to create a layered composition with the ideal image, message, and aesthetic hierarchy.
