One Earth Mural in Aspen, Colorado

July 29, 2025

I just finished up an amazing week in Aspen, CO where I did my “One Earth” art show with 212 Gallery in two cool locations. I also did a talk at Anderson Ranch Art Center, DJ’ed, and painted my second mural in Aspen with the help of Dan Flores, Rob Zagula, and Jon Furlong, who also shot these photos! The mural features an Oriole perched on a flower stem with oil dripping off it. Orioles are not endangered, but their population, like many bird populations, is in decline… further evidence that our whole planet is the coal mine and all birds are the canaries. A reminder to keep our one earth healthy for the birds and all else. The people of Aspen were incredibly supportive and enthusiastic, which had me feeling like I was possibly in The Truman Show. This feeling was compounded when I was honored with July 25 being dedicated as “Shepard Fairey Day” by the city. I’m very grateful to the 212 Gallery crew and the Aspen community for the incredible support!
